How to get from Campeche to Cancun
There is no flight between Campeche and Cancun – flying via Mexico City takes 5–7 hours. The Tren Maya runs from Campeche station straight to Cancun Airport station in about 6 h 20 min with no change of train. ADO buses make the trip about 20 times a day in 8.5–9 hours, and by car it is roughly 480–500 km via Mérida, about 6 hours.
Arriving at Cancun Airport
If you are flying out of Cancun after visiting Campeche, allow at least 3 hours before an international flight on top of the journey. The Tren Maya stops at its own Cancun Airport station, or a private transfer can take you from your hotel in Cancun or the Riviera Maya to your terminal.
